Introduction
Mercury is a family of applications orbiting a central information repository. It was built with the vision of concentrating all an organization’s data into a single system that was infinitely accessible through many different views and portals.
At the heart of Mercury is InfoCentral, a database sitting behind a REST data service. InfoCentral provides all the data access and processing, and is expandable through modular extensions to include any organizational data and workflows.
The primary method of accessing information in a Mercury database is the InfoScape GUI, a browser-based application also easily customized with different views.
The ease of development with a REST data service means that there are near-limitless possibilities for developing alternative clients for accessing Mercury data; Hermes is an application in the Mercury family built using the Angular JavaScript framework that can be used to craft cross-device forms and data displays.
